Maria and the Well

“The well is DRY”,
one of Maria’s sisters shouted to the others!

We can’t water flowers
or wash our hair.

…or wash the dishes,
scrub the stairs…

…or water the thirsty donkeys
that work in the hot summer air.

Look, sister Maria,
instead of water only MUD comes up!

Then…
Maria lowered the bucket and…

…her siters ran to see!

Sure enough!
There came up water…
as fresh and bubbly, sparkly
as could be!

PRAYER
JESUS, you are the living water
deep inside us.
May we never
run dry of your LOVE.
